Customising presets
Q - What do I need to be able to set up a custom app list in the driver / UC build.Q - Export app and add that into a customisation I set up for them?
Yes, that's right. However it's not currently possible for us to create releases that contain different presets than the typical ones we bundle, because those standard presets are contained within the commander-osx customisation (so they'll always be included with commander). We'll need to split up the commander-osx customisation into two: one that contains only the presets, and one that contains everything else. (the app, the api folder, etc.)
So I'm thinking that we'd split "commander-osx" like this:
commander-osx / appdir / UPDD Commander.app
commander-osx / appdir / api
commander-osx / launchagents
commander-osx / description.txt
commander-presets-osx / appdir / presets / touch
That way, any release that should contain the usual presets would include both the commander-osx and commander-presets-osx customisations.
Then, in a case like this where a customer needs a custom UC configuration, we can create a new customisation that contains custom presets for them and build a release using both that customisation and commander-osx.
Note that once this is done, any bundles that include commander-osx would need to be updated to also include commander-presets-osx as well (otherwise they wouldn't include any presets).
Now that I've laid that out, is this something you'd like to handle yourself, or something you'd like me to assist with?
