UPDD relies on the touch device being correctly recognised by the system.

Should the system indicate any errors exist with the device it is highly unlikely that the driver will be able to handle the device.

For each OS you can list the devices in the system and review their connection status. For Windows this is the Device Manager, MacOS the System Report and for Linux you can use LSUSB command.

In most cases the device should be listed as OK and functioning but in some cases an error will be shown, such as in this Device Manager example:

In this particular case the device was plugged into a USB3 port but was not USB3 compatible.  Plugging into a USB2 port resolved the issue.
