Console

Starting with UPDD V6 release 6.0.566 we have introduced a Console program to view, update and configure the driver and installed devices.

The Console is invoked from the UPDD Daemon menu icon  in the Menu bar under MacOS or System Tray under Windows and Linux.

It can also be invoked via the command line:

OS   Command
 Windows   C:\Program Files (x86)\UPDD>"updd Console"
 MacOS  /Library/Application\ Support/UPDD/UPDD\ Daemon.app/Contents/MacOS/UPDD\ Console
 Linux  /opt/updd$ ./upddenv ./UPDD\ Console

When invoked the main dialog will be displayed showing the 'Touch' settings associated with the first device.

The Console constitutes three areas; Device, Display and Function:

 Area  Description
Device list

The Device list contains a General entry to list system wide settings, an All Devices entry (only listed on systems with a multi device setup) to allow you to change settings that will be applied to all devices and also lists all the individual installed devices. Active devices are displayed with a coloured device icon, inactive devices (no longer seen by the driver) are greyed out as per this example:

Function bar The Function bar shows available functions.
Display area The Display area is used to shows the information related to the selected device item and function.

The above example shows 2 x USB and 1 serial touch device.

 Function Bar

This holds the driver and device functions:

Touch  Touch settings and test options
 Calibration  Calibrate settings and invocation
 Toolbars  Define and calibrate Toolbars
Firmware  If enabled, indicates the driver supports device firmware functions
Advanced  Lists all UPDD related settings and their use
